Welcome
The Hamond Educational Charity is a registered charity set up primarily to promote the education (including social and physical training) of young persons under the age of 21 years who are in need of financial assistance and living in the Breckland DC area in Norfolk particularly those residing in or near Swaffham. It may also support schools in the local district.
This website contains:
- more about the trust, its governance and administration;
- the ways in which you can contact the Trust;
- the procedure for applying for a grant;
- a brief history of Nicholas Hamond - the founder of Hamond's School in Swaffham (later the old Hamond's Grammar School), and of the charitable trust which is now the Hamond Educational Charity.
Our thanks to Mrs Stephanie Leitch for allowing us to use the crest logo drawn by her late husband Tony Leitch who was also a former pupil at Hamond's School.
